I went to a doctors apt today to get diet pills. He said I needed to get some blood work done before he could put me on these pills. I really want them. He said I needed to get a test for my sugar, thyroid and cholesterol. He also said if it comes out negative I could have the pills. The sugar test (not sure what it’s called) goes back 3 months. My question is….With halloween and the many birthday parties I have gone to, plus the amount of sugar I take in all day…. how bad is that? What is the test for exactly (high or low blood pressure), (diabetes), etc? What can I do to get the sugar out of my system, drink tons of water?

wondered if you could be a diabetic if your blood glucose is low and not high. i had surgery about 4 yrs ago, a hysterectomy and wondered if when they tied my bladder if that had something to do with it, ive also had gallbladder surgery too once. how do people sleep nights if theyre up all the time, i take stuff like advil pm and wondered if that had something to do with it or the diet cokes, also, ive lost weight and i noticed when my cholesterol went down i stopped retaining water and wondered if that had something to do with it, also does surgery mess up your sleep so you cant sleep or is it the sleeping pills, im trying to keep my weight down cause of the high cholesterol, i was taking lipitor but stopped when it went down and im taking niacin cause lipitor made me dizzy. does it hurt me when i stop taking it if im taking niacin instead, if i lost a lot of weight will that keep my cholesterol from going back up especially if im taking niacin. niacin does seem to help keep it down.

I’m 37 also have high cholesterol family history of HBP.and heart disease. I would like to change medicines a nurse said Diovan may help or better than what I’m on now.I’m overweight but have cut back on diet and salt. Do I change medicines or should I stop them and use natural means? Does the breathing machine RESPeRATE really lower blood pressure?

I also take medicine for high b.p. and high cholesterol.I am med. to very active,have never smoked, and drink aver. one drink per month.I did not sugar my drinks or even my porridge.Have always loved fruit and veg. Doc says bad luck ,all genetic. I like to walk, but often feel myself getting hypo after about a mile and a half at a steady lick, even after a good lunch. Many other activities are limited by back probs. thanks to teaching P.E. for many years.Doc advises complex carbs at all meals to maintain sugar levels. I had just cut down on food intake including carbs to lose weight to help lower b.p. and cholesterol. Now I am back on a higher intake including comp. carbs. to level sugars.I have stopped losing weight.I am 5′ 2″ and 11 stone 4lbs.I am confused about my diet….which needs to serve all my probs.Cannot see dietitian at surgery for a while. Anyone got any advice please.

I am a 18yr male. I have low phosphorus counts (3.9mg/dL), high GGTP (34 IU/L), high cholesterol and triglycerides (266 mg/dL, 210mg/dL) as well as barely low percentage of lymphocytes (26.7%).
Any idea what could cause this? I was on accutane and drank alcohol occasionally, but could it be my diet? or a combination of both? Am I at major risk for anything?
