Just Wondered What Does It Mean If I Go To The Bathrm A Lot, My Blood Glucose Is 90 So I Dont Think Im Diabeti

wondered if you could be a diabetic if your blood glucose is low and not high. i had surgery about 4 yrs ago, a hysterectomy and wondered if when they tied my bladder if that had something to do with it, ive also had gallbladder surgery too once. how do people sleep nights if theyre up all the time, i take stuff like advil pm and wondered if that had something to do with it or the diet cokes, also, ive lost weight and i noticed when my cholesterol went down i stopped retaining water and wondered if that had something to do with it, also does surgery mess up your sleep so you cant sleep or is it the sleeping pills, im trying to keep my weight down cause of the high cholesterol, i was taking lipitor but stopped when it went down and im taking niacin cause lipitor made me dizzy. does it hurt me when i stop taking it if im taking niacin instead, if i lost a lot of weight will that keep my cholesterol from going back up especially if im taking niacin. niacin does seem to help keep it down.

Does Simvastatin Cause Weight Gain?

26 y/o Male currently on (simvastatin) and (aciphex) . I am in the Navy and my doctor put me on simvastatin about 2 months ago. I am normally in good-great shape, eat semi healthy(no fast food/soda, low junk food), and exercise 5 times a week. Last year I wasnt in such great shape but came back and dropped 35 lbs. The doc put me on this stuff because my “Good Cholesterol” was too low. But since I have been taking it i have gained almost 20lbs back and put 3 inches on my waist. I know it wouldnt be that bad but I have also in the last 2 months been not as apt to run and exercise as I used to. So I find myself saying I’l run tommorow and now I run 3 times a week instead of 5-6. I have not changed my diet and nothing else is different except stress.
So my question is, does Simvastatin cause weight gain in some people? I have heard yes from some people and no from others. If someone can point me in the right direction and give me a link to proof. I would appreciate it.

How Does Coq10 Levels Deplete? Does Taking A Simvastatin (zocor) Affect Levels Of Coq10?

Last week my docotor said I had high cholesterol. I’m only a 20-year old male. However, I’m overweight at 220 pounds and 5’7. Over the past year or two, I haven’t been eating healthy. So I personally attribute my high cholesterol levels to my inactvity + poor diet. My docotor came back with my blood results and prescribed Zocor ( a simvastatin) to help lower my bad cholesterol levels.
I’m supposed to take 40 MG pill daily of this. I took my first pill tonight of 40MG. Doing some further research online, I’ve found some discomforting information regarding the ‘statin’ family of drugs. I’m paticullary worried about the depletion of CoQ10 levels, which have been shown to have beneficial effects themselves. After all my research, I’ve decided I’m not going to go on the meds and just try the more “natural” route and just eat healthier and exercise.
My biggest concern is this: Will the Pill I took of 40MG affect my levels at all? If so, will the levels return to ‘normal’ considering I’m 100% discontinuing this drug? I’ll wait until more information comes out on this drug. Until then, I don’t feel safe doing so.

Does Any One Have Any “healthy” Dessert Ideas?

I would like to make a dessert for me and my father-in-law to enjoy for Thanksgiving… Here’s the catch… we both are on restricted diets.. =/
My f-i-l has high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
I have to eat healthy and keep on a low sodium diet…
I am unfamiliar with the food restrictions for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc.. so I don’t know what to do….
I’d like to do a dessert that has chocolate in it… =D Are there any desserts that are “healthy” with chocolate?!
I know that to say “healthy dessert” is kind of ironic… but I just would like for him to be able to enjoy a nice tasting dessert…
Thank you for any ideas you have to offer….=D

Does Anyone Else On Yahoo Answers Have Metabollic Syndrome X?

I have something which the medical proffession have termed as “Metabollic Syndrome X”. However I have found that there appears to be very little information available on this and I have yet to find anyone else that also has this condition. It is a condition in which certain areas of the body are all affected and people suffering from it usually have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, low thyroid levels, diabetes and carry extra weight around their middle. I am on 6 tablets a day as a preventative measure and I am not even on any tablets for the diabetes at the moment as I am managing to control that with diet.
