Is There A Supplement Good For Helping With High Triglycerides?
I had my cholesterol checked this week, and my Dr. said that my good cholesterol (HDL) was high and my bad cholesterol(LDL) was low… but she said my triglycerides were high.
I’m 23 years old. I’m 5′3 and weigh about 105 lbs. I excercise regulary and eat mainly healthy.. I barely eat red meat if ever at all…
My Dr. told me it could be genetics (since my moms side of the family has high triglycerides). The only thing I can think of that would make it go kinda high is my alcohol consumption. I only drink on the weekends though if I do??
I was wondering if anyone knows of a supplement that I could take that has WORKED FOR THEM in helping in lowering triglycerides. I’m getting my cholesterol rechecked in 3 months so I’m going to lower my alchol consumption to about nothing and keep my diet and exercise, but I would like to take some sort of supplement that can help as well…..
Any suggestions from somewhere out there who has successfully lowered their triglycerides??
I Have A Couple Really Good Questions?
1. why do people say 2 lay off the carbs or go low fat when dieting when its just the calories that matter, not where they come from…they turn 2 fat the same way in the same pace so why do people say “oh u have 2 lay off spaghetti and bread-2 many carbs” or “lay off the peanut butter-2 much fat”(even though its healthy fat) A CALORIE IS A CALORIE AND IT ALL CONVERTS TO FAT THE SAME WAY!!!
2.why do some people say that peanuts/peanut butter is high in cholesterol? it has no cholesterol and actually hlps reduce it! they also say that nuts and peanut butter r unhealthy when the fats r healthy and they provide nutrients(just eat in moderation!
3. if theres an obesity epidemic, why r more and more people/kids asking about weight loss and more people r becoming anorexic/bulimic and more r on a diet or killingthemselves from not eatng?
4. its a myth that eating after a certain time causes weight gain so why do people stil say”stop eating after 6:00″-u can gain weight at any time.
Is This A Good Alternative Dinner Meal?
I am putting myself on my own diet, counting calories and exercising everyday. I went out a bought a couple of things to help me lower my calorie intake such as Special K bars, Special K cereal, and campbell’s chunky soup. My question is some such as the soup a good meal for dinner to help me lose the extra weight, here are the nutrition facts:
Serving Size – 1 cup, 2 servings per can
Amount per serving:
Calories 190 Calories from Fat 80
Total Fat 9g
Trans Fat 0g

Sodium 890mg
