I read this article and it helped me learn what are the ways that fasting can improve someones health.Also on tv the sheik advises anyone with any health problem like high blood pressure ,diabetes,cholestrol to fast even during the fitr days .
1. Attitude About Juice Fasting: One key to juice fasting over water fasting is the ability to prevent ketosis (disrupted carbohydrate metabolism in response to chronic starvation) by continuously providing simple carbohydrates that are used by your body for energy and nutrition to the cells. My Husband In His Early Forties Recently Undergone A Cardiac Procedure. I Need To Know Some Receipies.?

My husband has been advised low fat, low salt diet. He does not suffer from Diabetes, high Cholesterol , etc.& his BP is well under control due to regular medication. The food I cook for him at home taste very unappetising for him. He needs to eat more as he has to regain his strength. Please Suggest some easy appetising food ( both Non-veg & veg ) which I can cook for him & nurse his health back. Also if anybody can suggest any sites where such receipies are mentioned. Pls also note that my husband is very much calorie conciuos.


For Any Experts Or Medical People That Know A Lot About The Liver…?

because my ALT/AST was mildly elevated (132) and the ultrasound showed a fatty liver, my gastroenterologist assumed that its the reason my liver is inflammed (nash). But anyway I’m not obese, but overweight and at the time been having high cholesterol and triglycerides for a while. As instructed, I lost like about a good 15 lbs over the course of 2 months, change my diet to low – fat but high in fiber/vegetable/fruit diet, no potato chips and I exercise regularly for 40 minutes doing cardio. According to the BMI I went from overweight to ideal normal weight…getting a blood test in Feb. What are the chances that I have reduced the fat on my liver? Due to the fact that I am overweight but not anymore, will my choelsterol/triglycerides lower? Have I reduced the liver’s inflammation by lessening the fat intake? I hear you can reverse this over time (roughly 2 years) if you change ur lifestyle….any thoughts?


I Would Like To Know How Long A Person Would Have To Diet In Order To Get Certain Things Down.?

I have been eating lots of candy because of Valentines day. I also have been celebrating lots of birthdays by eating out and eating too much lately. I know my sugar and my blood pressure and my cholesterol are all up. I started dieting a few days ago. I just eat 2 meals and I don’t eat anything bad. How long would you say I should be on this diet, just to get things back where they were. If I ate bad for a month, would you say I should diet for a month to even things up before I go for a check-up?
